Students Awarded Trustees' Scholars Award at Univ

JHCS seniors Stella Cabot-Wilson, Parker Case, Tyler McIntosh, and Mile Yazzolino were awarded the Trustees' Scholars Award at the University of Wyoming, which is the most prestigious scholarship they offer and includes a 100% scholarship.  The Trustees' Scholars Award Committee reviewed transcripts, test scores and high school rigor for applicants who applied and submitted all their application materials to UW by Dec. 1.  According to the Univesity of Wyoming's website, "The Trustees' Scholars Award is UW's top academic scholarship awarded to 75 resident freshmen annually on a competitive basis. This scholarship covers the cost of tuition, fees, room and board for 8 semesters (4 years)!"

Shadow Day (2/1) CANCELLED

We are not going to host a Shadow Day this year due to the potential for overwhelming numbers of applicants.  Our admissions is almost complete for next year, so we do not feel the need to have a Shadow Day at this point.  Please contact Tyler Hardy with any questions.  Thardy@jhcommunityschool.org

Sophomore Michael Scalabrino: One of the Best High

A Jackson Hole Community School student has been selected to perform as a member of the Wyoming Jazz Educators All-State Jazz Band.  Sophomore guitarist Michael Scalabrino was chosen after a statewide audition process identified him as one of the best high school jazz musicians in Wyoming.  Michael's selection is quite an honor, especially when one considers that there is only one guitar spot in the All-State Jazz Band, which also includes saxophones, trumpets, trombones, piano, bass and drums.  The group will be performing in Powell on March 2 as part of the Northwest Jazz Festival.
