Here is a summary of the parent giving and volunteer opportunities for this year. We hope you will choose to support our school and participate!
The Jackson Hole Community School exists because of tremendous support from our parents, alumni and community members. We absolutely rely on your generosity of time and resources to remain strong and grow.
As an independent school and a 501c3 non-profit organization we rely on both tuition and gifts to ensure a viable future. We do not receive any government funding and therefore are not bound to state curriculums and mandated state certifications for our teachers. Parents of students and alumni, like you, provide more than 50% of the funds needed to provide scholarships, to maintain our “campus”, to continue to offer top-notch college preparatory education and much more.

Sept - Nov
Please expect to meet with Sarah and Scott to discuss ways in which you can help this year.
Sept 1
Please help us under-write the cost of our orientation camping trip. Any $ amount helps us be able to maintain this tradition. Please see the “Orientation Underwriting Opportunities” handout and website.
Sept 10
Old Bill’s Fun Run: Join our booth at the event or donate funds before the event, either way we hope you will support the School throughout this event.
Sept 28
Family Pot Luck - please plan to attend and bring a dish. Potluck will be at the school 6-8pm.
Oct 6
Parent Get-Together Lunch (12pm) at Patti Gill’s house. Please come and meet some other parents, enjoy a free lunch and talk a little bit about some ideas for upcoming activities/get-togethers. These lunches will take place on the first THURSDAY of each month. Please RSVP to Sarah.
Oct 12
Open House. Please reach out to families with students who are interested in attending JHCS and invite them to this fun and informative evening.

Nov 3
Parent Get-Together Breakfast (8am) at Cafe Boheme, hosted by Brent Blue. All are welcome. Topic: Holiday Party, etc.
Dec 8
Holiday Party. Our annual Holiday Party at Shooting Star marks the launch of the Power of the Parent! Power of the Parent will go from December 8 - March 8. We hope to reach 100% participation for the 3rd year in a row!
Jan 5
Parent Get-Together. All are welcome. Topic: Parent Ski Day
Feb 2
Parent Get-Together. All are welcome. Topic: Teacher Appreciation Week
Feb 6 - 10
Teacher Appreciation Week. This will be organized by you, the parents. We will need volunteers to lead this effort. Please plan to attend the parent meeting in January to see how you can help.

March - April
Help us procure and gather “Unique Experiences” for our annual fundraiser in June - Unique Experience Auction. Deadline for Unique Experience donations is May 2st.
March 1

Power of the Parent Potluck. This marks the end of the Power of the Parent campaign. We will celebrate you!
