School Admissions

JHCS is open for all interested 9th-12th grade students. Applicants are admitted to JHCS based upon a number of factors ranging from the quality of the completed application to the motivations of the individual student. JHCS provides an academically rigorous, college-preparatory environment where students are expected to work hard and to give back to the community. Students are given a tremendous amount of responsibility for their own learning and for creating the culture of the School. Young people who wish to attend JHCS should understand the seriousness of purpose required of our students, be willing to uphold the academic standards of the School, and be committed to being an active participant in the JHCS community.

JHCS is a rolling admissions institution. Merit scholarships and financial aid are awarded on a first-come first-served basis. Financial aid is awarded on a need basis. We encourage families to complete the admissions process early in the school year.
Admissions Checklist

Students
1.) Complete the Student Questionnaire and Student Essay (both in your own handwriting).
2.) Distribute the English/Social Studies and Math/Science Teacher Recommendations to your current teachers.
