Lunch Speaker: Steve Duerr from the Murie Center
Duerr has been at the Murie Center since 2008. He holds a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and has practiced law for 29 years (24 years in Jackson Hole). Duerr was the executive director of the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce for 7 years and developed the progressive brand promise for this business organization to Respect the Power of Place. The brand was founded on a 1943 essay by Olaus Murie on the Spirit of Place the spirit of Jackson Hole. Duerr’s conservation credentials include serving on the progressive founding board of the Yellowstone Business Partnership and the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation initiative. He was a spokesperson for Y2Y in Alberta and British Columbia on the theme that conservation is good for commerce. He is a founder and board member of the Jackson Hole Center for Global Affairs.

Students must notify JHCS of their "intent to enroll" and submit a deposit to hold their place.

Open House at JHCS
JHCS will be hosting an informal gathering for 7th grade students and their parents on Wednesday, May 6th from 5:30-6:30 PM. You will have an opportunity to tour the school facility, meet current students and teachers, and hear about our exciting curriculum. We will serve pizza and beverages, present a brief slide show, and answer your questions. If you want to learn more about life at our school, please join us!
