![]() Kathleen Crowley has been teaching students in the Jackson area for eleven years. In 1993, the Jackson Hole Ski Club hired her to create an academic program for school-aged athletes in Jackson. She has tutored students in all subject areas and served as a liaison between the club and the Teton County Public Schools. Later, she opened her own tutoring business called The Tutor Network, which offers services to students around the valley. She has a Master's Degree in Education from Harvard University. Crowley earned her Principal Endorsement from the University of Wyoming in June of 2003. Scott Hirschfield has taught public high school since 1991 and has a Master's Degree in Education along with a teaching certificate from Stanford University. Hirschfield began teaching in San Francisco and later taught for Jackson Hole High School for two years, beginning in 1996. He has coached the varsity boys high school soccer team since moving to Jackson. Hirschfield earned his Principal Endorsement from the University of Wyoming in June of 2003. |

![]() Nancy Jarrell, Board President Nancy Jarrell has been active in education for many years, through tutoring mathematics, volunteering in the classroom, and serving on various committees. Prior to moving to Jackson, Nancy lived in Boston, where she worked for IBM and then the WGBH Educational Foundation. She earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin. Susie Rauch, Board Vice Chairperson Susie Rauch founded and has been President of InterConnections 21, a not-for-profit that promotes learning and action in US schools about critical global issues. Previously she worked in UNESCO's Education Sector in Paris for 14 years and then as an educational consultant for a number of international agencies and not-for-profits. She earned her BA from Smith College, her Masters from Teachers' College, Columbia University and her doctorate from the University of Massachusetts' Center of International Education. Ethan Steinberg, Board Treasurer Ethan Steinberg grew up in downtown Chicago before moving to Providence, RI, in 1992. After graduating in 1996 from Brown University with a BA in psychology, he moved to Jackson. Ethan has now worked at Friess Associates in Jackson for the past eight years and is responsible for managing part of the Brandywine mutual fund. Cindee George, Board Secretary Cindee George grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and received a BS from the University of Utah. Since moving to Jackson with her husband and 3 children, she has been actively involved in the not-for-profit community, most recently serving on the Center For The Arts Board and the Art Association. She has a passion for excellence in education. Mike Cottingham A valley resident since 1975, Mike received his BA from the University of Notre Dame in 1967. He pursued graduate studies in community planning with a special interest in educational planning at the University of Cincinnati and received a Master’s degree in Education at Xavier University in Cincinnati in 1972. Mike’s interest in educational reform and alternative educational opportunities prompted him to co-found with his wife Helen in 1973, Wilderness Ventures, an innovative multi-environmental summer outdoor leadership, adventure and community service program for young adults. He is a former board member of the Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance and most recently spearheaded a fund raising drive for Jackson Hole High School athletics. Mike currently serves on the board of directors of America Outdoors, a 350 member worldwide association of outfitters and guides. Mike and Helen’s sons Christopher and Nicholas graduated from Jackson Hole High School in 2000 and 2004 respectively. Sophie Craighead Sophie Engelhard Craighead lives in Kelly, Wyoming with her husband, Derek, an ecologist, and her two children, Scotty and Sage. She received a BSFS degree from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service, and an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. She worked as Special Assistant to the Senate Majority Leader Mike Mansfied in his Majority Leader’s office for 6 years. She has been involved with philanthropic issues most of her life, serving on the board of the Charles W. Engelhard Foundation. Locally, Sophie serves on the Board of PAWS, Teton County PAL, Curran Seeley, Beringia South, and the Jackson Hole Community Foundation. When not doing board work, she likes to hike with her five dogs. James Mathieu James Mathieu has lived in Jackson Hole since 1972; however, his family had been ranching in the valley since 1957. James graduated from Williams College and has taken graduate courses at Idaho State University and Northeastern University (Boston). Having raised three children, lived in France, and served on numerous local Boards, James currently works at Real Estate of Jackson Hole and specializes in Business and Commercial brokerage. Cheryl Ranck Schwartz Cheryl Ranck Schwartz received her B.A. with honors from Northern Arizona University in 1980 and then received her law degree in 1983 from the University of Wyoming. After serving as a law clerk to the Wyoming Supreme Court, she became certified as a professional mediator by the Center For Dispute Resolution in Boulder, Colorado. Cheryl has represented hundreds of children in cases involving neglect, abuse, grandparent visitation, paternity actions, guardianships, children in need of supervision, delinquency and divorce custody. She also mediates domestic relations matters. Noah Waterhouse Noah Waterhouse has broad expertise in marketing, account sales, product development, distribution channels, and negotiating strategic partnerships. Noah was a partner and Director of Marketing at RhinoSkin, Inc., where he created and implemented the company’s sales and marketing plans and oversaw front-and back-end web development. Currently, Noah is Senior Account Executive at Circumerro Creative Group, a full service design and development firm that specializes in traditional and interactive design, branding, e-commerce integration, and content management systems. Noah holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Dartmouth College where he was Captain of the Men’s Soccer Team. Robin Weiss Robin Weiss grew up in New York and attended Bennett College where she majored in early childhood education which subsequently lead to her position at The United Nations Creche School where she worked until her marriage. Robin moved to Wyoming in 1976 and while there she was responsible for creating an art program in the elementary school system and serving as president of the PTA. At the same time, Robin started her design business “Cabin Fever Interiors” working on such projects as the Fredric Remington studio installation in the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. Robin founded the Buffalo Bill Historical Center’s Patrons Ball and created the Museum cookbook, which has sold over 100,000 copies and is still sold to this day. In addition to founding the Spring Creek Equestrian Center, Robin has served on various boards including a nine year stint with the United States Pony Club, a horse organization for youth that teaches life skills such as responsibility, leadership, and moral judgment. |
