How long have you been working in education?

From a traditional standpoint, JHCS is the first school I have held a full time position. However, I have been teaching youth and adults video and photography skills off and on since graduating college in 2008.

In what areas?

My teaching subject matter has always revolved around visual and performing arts.

How long at JHCS?

This is my fifth year.

What do you do outside working at JHCS?

I love to go on hikes with my white lab DooN. I like to dance in the kitchen with my family while we are cooking good food. I like to practice yoga, travel, sing, read and create art.

What is your most rewarding part of the day at JHCS?

My favorite part is teaching and learning alongside all of the students and staff at JHCS.

What drew you to the field of education?

When I was younger, I didn't think I would be drawn to this profession, but it feels like a natural fit! My dad used to teach and my mom has always been an educator. Teaching is challenging but incredibly rewarding.
