Students and Teachers Make the Most of Distance Learning

On March 18th, due to COVID-19, The Community School embarked on a distance learning program, and this will continue through the end of the current school year. The program consists of a thoughtful mix of live video classes and online check-ins between teachers and students. While the transition to distance learning was challenging for everyone, our students and teachers have made the best of a difficult situation. Our teachers have explored new online platforms and collaborated really well with each other, sharing ideas and suggestions regularly. And our students have provided thoughtful feedback on what has and has not worked, while continuing to work hard, overcome obstacles, and maintain a sense of purpose and good humor. Our school community has pulled together exceptionally well during this time of uncertainty, and summer is right around the corner!
