During late August each year, students of the Jackson Hole Community School take part in a 4-day Fall Trip, one of the cornerstones of our Experiential Learning Program. Along with Minimester and Community Service, participation in Fall Trips is a graduation requirement.
Fall Trips are led by staff and guided by outdoor professionals in various locations throughout the Jackson Hole area backcountry. Fall Trips aim to build collaborative relationships, teamwork, trust, and mental and physical resilience. Additionally, the trips are designed so that students develop decision making skills, embrace uncertainty, develop a sense of responsibility toward each other and the environment, unplug from daily life, and have fun.
