Garrett Lynch
Garrett and his family moved to the Jackson area in 2020 from Brooklyn, NY. He originally is from Seattle, Washington.
After graduating from the University of Virginia in 1996, and the University of Virginia School of Law in 2000, Garrett clerked for a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, then spent twenty years as a trial lawyer and white collar criminal prosecutor in New York City and San Francisco, with a focus on securities fraud, international money laundering, and economic sanctions violations. During that time, he served on the board of two publicly-funded charter schools located in the Bronx and Brooklyn, New York, operated by New Visions for Public Schools, one of the largest education nonprofits in the country. Today, Garrett is the co-founder and CEO of a sustainable packaging business that designs paper-based, recyclable alternatives to plastic packaging.
Garrett and his wife, Leslie Hermanson, live in Wilson and have three children: Charlie and Lydia, who are members of the inaugural sixth grade class at JHCS, and Catherine, who is an eighth grader at Jackson Hole Middle School. In addition to serving on the board of JHCS, Garrett also serves on the board of Center Management, Inc. (CMI), a nonprofit organization that manages the Snow King Sports and Events Center and the Jackson Hole Moose hockey team.
